Ballast Nedam Development approached us to shape the brand for Strandeiland, a new residential development in Amsterdam, adjacent to IJburg. Part of a major city expansion, the project focuses on around 200 homes and apartments, offering a unique blend of urban energy and natural retreat. Our role was to define its positioning, craft a distinct brand identity, and develop key assets.

Through a series of deep-dive sessions, we uncovered a defining narrative: Strandeiland isn’t about choosing between the city or nature. it’s about having both. Designed for those who thrive in urban life but seek balance, it’s a place for ‘city winners, not city quitters.’ This thinking led to the pay-off ‘Unwind in Nature’, capturing the essence of living at Strandeiland.
